What is a security approval?
A security approval is a prior clearance issued by the Egyptian authorities for a specific traveller. For the nationalities concerned, an airline will usually not let you board and you cannot be admitted at the border without it.
Whether you need one depends on your nationality, the type of travel document you hold and sometimes on where you live or which residence permits you have. Because these rules change, we check every case individually instead of giving a general answer.

An approval is issued for one person. Families send all passport copies together so that the requests are handled as one file.
